MMDMM Services provides subscription-based communications, monitoring and market-interface services for New Zealand's utility-scale solar and renewable-energy assets, keeping plants connected to their operators, the electricity system and the market.

We own, host and operate the central infrastructure, with site connectivity arranged around each plant's requirements - so clients access shared, professionally managed services without having to establish their own platform per site. Services can be selected individually or combined, with each engagement scoped around site interfaces, coverage and escalation arrangements to complement your existing operators and engineering teams.

Client's Engineering Services (Electrical Systems)

Independent technical oversight for energy projects and portfolios. MMDMM Engineering acts as the client's engineer, providing independent electrical engineering review across projects and portfolios.

We review and challenge HV designs, equipment specifications, protection philosophies and system interfaces — working with designers, EPCs and suppliers to close out technical gaps. Our focus extends beyond compliance to long-term operability:

Client's Engineering Services (Controls Systems)

Specialist controls, communications and ongoing engineering support for renewable-energy developers, owners and operators. MMDMM Engineering integrates power-station systems, supports commissioning and provides technical continuity once sites enter operation — working alongside client teams, EPC contractors and suppliers.

Communications and control-system architecture, supplier-interface coordination and configuration review

Generation Connection, Code Compliance and Commissioning Support

Guiding projects through New Zealand's technical and operational requirements. MMDMM Engineering supports generation developers and asset owners through connection, commissioning and operational requirements — coordinating Electricity Industry Participation Code obligations, Transpower System Operator requirements and operational interfaces.

We define a clear pathway through the process — coordinating technical submissions, studies and commissioning evidence across the owner, EPC contractor, suppliers, consultants and network parties:

Asset Capability Statements, equipment and model information
Performance studies, commissioning plans and test procedures
SCADA, communications, control-room interfaces and dispatch arrangements

During commissioning, we coordinate testing, track requirements to close-out and support the plant, control and operational changes that follow as the asset moves into service.

Managed ICCP Connectivity Service

Managed communications between your plant and the System Operator. MMDMM Services provides a hosted and managed ICCP gateway for generation assets requiring an ICCP interface with Transpower — supporting the exchange of operational information between control systems.

We own and operate the gateway infrastructure in a professional data-centre environment, offered as a subscription rather than a dedicated platform clients purchase and maintain themselves:

Connection setup, data-exchange configuration, testing and commissioning
Ongoing management of the hosted interface
Fault investigation, coordinating with site teams, telecoms providers and Transpower as needed

The same technical knowledge used to establish the connection stays available throughout operation, giving continuity for diagnosing faults, changing data points and supporting future testing — while reducing the infrastructure burden on the asset owner.

Market Offer Services

Managed offer submission while you retain control of commercial decisions. MMDMM Services provides a hosted market-offer platform for generators participating in New Zealand's wholesale electricity market, managing the technical interface between the client's asset and the market-submission system.

The service is subscription-based, with third-party costs treated transparently and no share taken of the client's energy revenue — giving access to a managed platform without needing in-house hosting or technical administration.

O&M Support Services

Remote monitoring and engineering-led response for operating assets. MMDMM Services provides remote-first operational support, integrating with existing site SCADA where suitable to deliver continuous automated monitoring, alarms and fault investigation.

Remote diagnosis on alarm, distinguishing issues resolvable remotely from those needing suppliers, specialists or on-site attendance
Escalation coordination, mobilising support and tracking restoration to closure within agreed scope
Incident documentation and outage reporting to reduce recurrence

The service pairs automated monitoring with a shared on-call engineering arrangement — access to technical support without a dedicated team per site, with coverage and responsibilities defined per engagement. Clients can retain their existing SCADA, or adopt MMDMM's Automation Controller, NAC, where a new control system is needed.

IT/OT Network Services

Managed connectivity from field equipment to operational systems. MMDMM Services designs, deploys and supports networks connecting renewable-energy equipment, control systems and hosted operational services — secure, resilient and practical to support long-term.

Network architecture, firewall configuration and controlled remote access, built around each site's needs
Communications paths moving operational data between the plant and authorised systems
Fault investigation, configuration changes and restoration, coordinating with telecoms and suppliers

Documentation and managed access keep the network supportable as sites evolve. An optional SD-WAN package brings site-to-data-centre connectivity into the same arrangement, with responsibilities defined upfront.

BESS Integration Support

Helping battery storage work as part of the complete power system. MMDMM Engineering provides BESS integration support for developers, owners and delivery teams — translating the BESS's intended role into practical electrical, control and operational requirements.

Interfaces with power conversion equipment, electrical network, protection, plant controls, SCADA and energy-management systems
